Swiss QR-bill for donations

For appeals, collections and fundraisers you need a slip where each person decides how much to give. The QR-bill allows exactly that: the amount and the payer stay blank.

Updated November 2026

What a donation slip looks like

With no amount given, the payment part shows an empty box with corner marks. Anyone who scans the slip with their banking app simply types in the amount. Anyone paying by payment order or at the post office counter writes it into the box by hand. The same goes for the donor’s name and address.

For letters, flyers and websites

You can print the same slip in an appeal letter, attach it as PDF to a newsletter or offer it for download on your website. Keep the QR code at its original size (46 × 46 mm) when printing, so it scans reliably.

Linking donations to a campaign

With a message such as “Donation Christmas appeal 2026” you can see on your bank statement which campaign a payment belongs to. For several campaigns, create one slip each with its own message.

How it works

  1. Open the generator. The donation slip is already set up: QR slip only, with no amount and no payer.
  2. Enter your organisation’s name, address and IBAN.
  3. Leave the amount and payer fields blank.
  4. Add a message such as “Donation”.
  5. Download the PDF.

Common questions

Can a Swiss QR-bill have no amount?

Yes. The standard allows an open amount. The payment part then shows a box with corner marks to fill in.

Can I put the donation slip on my website?

Yes. Many organisations offer it as PDF. Donors can scan the QR code straight from the screen.

Does creating it cost anything?

No, creating it is free. Any fees on incoming payments depend on your bank.
