Swiss QR-bill invoice template, without Word or Excel

A Swiss QR-bill can’t simply be typed up in Word. The QR code has to hold the payment data in an exact format, and the payment part has fixed measurements. Scanbill handles both; you only fill in the form.

Updated October 2026

Why Word and Excel templates often fail

  • The QR code has to be generated anew for every invoice, with the amount, reference and addresses.
  • The receipt and payment part together measure exactly 210 × 105 mm; the QR code is 46 × 46 mm with a Swiss cross in the middle.
  • Since November 2025 only structured addresses are accepted: street and house number, postcode and town in separate fields.
  • A typo in the IBAN or reference often only shows when the payment never arrives.

What Scanbill checks

IBAN and QR-IBAN with their check digits, the QR reference and creditor reference, the UID number, the allowed characters and the maximum length of each field. The PDF can only be downloaded once everything is correct.

Your logo, your details

Add your logo and save your details in the browser. The next invoice then takes a minute, and the invoice number counts up by itself. Invoices can be in English, German, French, Italian or Romansh.

How it works

  1. Open the generator.
  2. Enter your details, add your logo and save.
  3. Add the customer, the items and, if needed, VAT.
  4. Check the preview.
  5. Download the PDF.
